Chive Crème Fraîche Dip

Chive Crème Fraîche Dip

1 serving | 5 minutes

This easy Chive Crème Fraîche Dip is the perfect creamy addition to any charcuterie board to balance out sharp cheeses and salty cured meats. Ready in under five minutes, it’s a deliciously simple dip for veggies or chips, making it a go-to snack for movie nights and gatherings.

This week is dedicated to those of you who like to hide away from the chaos of Halloween and snuggle in with spooky movies and snacks instead. My go-to movie night snack is a charcuterie board, because obviously. I like to start with 1-2 hard, sharp cheeses (think sharp cheddar, aged gouda, or mimolette) and 1-2 creamy cheeses (like brie or goat cheese). Add a couple of cured meats, a vehicle for the cheeses like crackers or bread, and finish it off with a little something extra like nuts or dried fruit. But I’m a big dip gal, so I’ll often sub out the soft cheese for a creamy, tangy dip like my Chive Crème Fraîche Dip. It’s a lovely addition to a cheeseboard and offers a creamy, tangy bite that balances out the sharper cheeses and salty meats.

The best part? This dip could not be easier. You’ll have it mixed up in under five minutes, and if you don’t devour it instantly, it’ll keep well in the fridge for a few days. In the words of our Lord and Savior Ina Garten, how easy is that?

Put my hand upon your chip.. when I dip, you dip, we dip

  • This creamy dip pairs beautifully with a crisp white like Sauvignon Blanc or a light, effervescent Prosecco. The acidity cuts through the richness, making each bite even better.

  • Feeling fancy? Got some extra cash to blow? Dip a sea salt chip into this Chive Crème Fraîche, then top it with a dollop of caviar for a luxe little chip bump experience.

  • Feel free to go a little off-script and add in other fresh herbs. A sprinkle of parsley, dill, or tarragon would be delicious in this dip—it’s an easy way to give it even more personality!
